- Teacher Education Programmes in SportHide
This page provides details on the various ways to complete a teacher education programme at the University of Bayreuth’s Department of Sport Science. We would be happy to provide one-on-one advising if you still have questions after reading through this information.
Since 2008, institutions in Bavaria have had the possibility to define their own profiles in the scope of the Teacher Education Examination Regulations (LPO I). In Bayreuth, we have used this chance to focus on your teaching skills in sport. You will complete a relatively extensive range of sport discipline seminars in Bayreuth. These seminars integrate theory and practice in a form that is demanding from the perspectives of both didactics and methodology. We also value “real-life” classroom situations in which you are involved in sport instruction with children and young adults. Cooperation with local schools and our special course formats make this possible. The language of the courses is German.
